华盛顿1月8日 – 美国最新一周初请失业金人数下跌，12月裁员人数骤降，显示就业市场正不断改善。
尽管全球经济步履蹒跚，但周四的报告支持今年美国经济增速的观点，消费者支出上升推动美国经济增长。
“就业市场状况继续改善，支持消费者支出，且为良性的经济循环作出贡献，”Plante Moran Financial Advisors首席投资长Jim Baird说。
美国劳工部公布，1月3日止当周美国初请失业金人数下降4,000人，至经季节调整的29.4万人。
尽管初请失业金人数略多于分析师预估的29.0万人，但下降趋势继续反映就业市场正稳步改善。以目前水平来看，初请失业金人数可能没有很多空间进一步下跌。
“一周初请失业金人数过去20年从未跌到28-29万人区间以下，反映出即使在经济最好时期，裁员是企业成长/营运周期的自然一部份的事实，”Millar Tabak首席经济策略师Anthony Karydakis说。
美国一周初请失业金人数四周均值为29.1万人，连续第17周低于关键的30万关口。初请失业金人数四周均值是能更好的反映就业市场趋势的指标，它消除了周与周之间的波动性。
数据扶助美股连续第二日上涨，美国公债价格下跌。美元兑欧元攀升至九年高位，因预计欧洲央行可能很快出台货币刺激计划以遏止欧元区滑入通缩。
**2014年裁员人数下降**
就业市场不断增强可能促使美国联邦储备委员会(美联储/FED)向升息更靠近一步。美联储自2008年12月以来一直保持近零利率。
