根据彭博社的调查，继6月非农就业人数增加22.3万人后，7月份的非农数据预计会再次增加22.5万人。到目前为止，今年非农就业人数平均每月增长20.8万。
虽然和去年的令人惊叹的每月26万人的增速相比，这个增速有点放缓，这这也足以表明劳动力市场已经接近彻底摆脱此前经济萧条的打击。对美联储来说，这种整体趋势仍在延续。博斯蒂扬奇说，市场会强烈关注非农就业数据，看其是否支持早晚都要到来的加息。
博斯蒂扬奇说：如果非农就业人数增幅为20万或者增加更多，那么市场就会以更大的概率按照9月份加息的预期来走。如果非农增幅数据低于20万的话，那么市场重新开始争论：加息时间究竟是在9月，12月，甚至明年呢？
其他经济观察家说，该报告认为9月份加息会对市场产生严重的影响，并改变原来趋势。
