美元上涨 金银上涨
纽约商品期货交易所（COMEX）2月黄金期货1月17日收盘上涨0.9%，收报每盎司1，251.9美元，美元指数上涨0.4%，3月白银期货上涨1.3%，收报每盎司20.304美元。
全球最大黄金白银ETF增持：全球最大黄金ETF（交易所交易基金）–SPDR黄金信托基金（GLD.US）17日黄金持有量增加7.5公吨成为797.05公吨，为一个月来首度增加。最大的白银ETF–安硕白银指数基金（SLV.US），白银持有量增加134.69公吨成为10，029.22公吨。
摩根大通：黄金已经触及周期性底部：摩根大通(J.P. Morgan)上周五表示，国际金价可能已经在2013年6月和12月触及了周期性底部，此外随着南非兰特贬值，目前不少南非矿业股很有购买吸引力。摩根大通分析师Allan Cooke， Steve Shepherd以及Abhishek Tiwari评论：基于当前新兴市场及商品货币兑美元正不断贬值，金价很可能已经接近了一个周期性的底部。另外，我们认为部分矿业股，如SA gold、Harmony Gold以及Sibanye Gold正被低估，投资者在2014年买入这些股票将获得良好的回报。
上周看多的人士接近60%：上周五公布的调查显示，本周看多的市场人士接近60%，部分人士看空，少数人士看平。接受调查的33个市场人士中，27人本周做出了回应，其中16人看涨，8看跌，3人中立。市场人士包括实物金交易员、投资银行、期货交易员、货币管理者和技术分析师。在此前一周的调查中，超过50%的市场人士看涨。而截至目前为止，本周COMEX 2月期金已经累计上涨6.40美元。
