泛美银业扩张墨西哥矿山计划：12月19日报导，原银矿商泛美银业（Pan American Silver Corp.）批准了继续扩张位于墨西哥的La Colorada矿山的计划，该公司希望藉此将目前每年470万盎司的白银生产量，到2017年时候提升770万盎司产量。矿山扩张计划的基本资金投入已经完成，成本约为八千万美元。许多矿业公司由于金属价格下跌但成本升高，纷纷选择把新开发的计划减产或者停产。但因为该项计划所投资矿山为公司旗下表现最好并且业绩最稳定的矿山，所以风险较低。
调查：美联储将7次削减QE；近日彭博对41位经济学家开展预期调查，结果显示经济学家普遍预计美联储将按计划在2014年的7次联邦公开市场委员会(Federal Open Market Committee)会议后(全年为8次会议)按每次100亿美元的速度逐步削减购债规模(目前为750亿美元/月)，直至2014年底完全结束QE。本周四美联储决定明年1月起把每月购债规模从850亿美元削减至750亿美元，同时现任美联储主席伯南克在媒体发布会的讲话中称，美联储的退出会以每次100亿美元的速度进行。
