美国进口增 出口减 贸易赤字超预期：美国9月份贸易赤字超出预期，进口增加而出口却连3个月下滑是赤字恶化主因，意味着全球需求趋于疲软。美国商务部数据显示，贸易逆差月增8%至417.78亿美元，高于彭博社调查预估的390亿美元，其中出口月减4亿至1,889亿美元，进口月增27亿至2,307亿美元。
美国上周初领失业金人数符合预期：美国劳工部11月14日公布，经季节调整后，截至11月9日为止当周，首次申请失业救济金人数较前周修正值减少2,000人至339,000人。根据彭博社的调查，经济学家的预估中间值为33万人，预估区间介于32.5-35万人之间。上周首次申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前周修正值减少5,750人至344,000人。
耶伦：Fed不急于退市 但QE不会无休止：联储局(FED)下届主席被提名人耶伦出席国会听证会时展现无比自信，在超过两个小时的质询过程中，她全力捍卫购债措施或俗称的量化宽松(QE)，令质询的众议院议员禁声。耶伦告诉银行委员会议员，促进经济发展是FED的使命之一，虽然劳动市场已有改善，但以目前失业率仍高悬在7.3%的状况而言，就业还有很大进步的空间。她强调，每月850亿美元的购债计划以及超低利率政策的益处超过附带成本。耶伦以偏鸽派口吻表示，外界所关注FED何时放缓购债速度并没有确切的时间表。不过，她也强调，控制通膨很重要，QE不会永无止尽地延续下去。
