美元弹升 黄金期货下跌
纽约商品期货交易所(COMEX)12月黄金期货11月1日收盘续跌10.50美元，收报每盎司1,313.20美元，主因美元弹升让以美元计价的黄金变得昂贵、进而压缩持他种货币投资人的需求。纽约商品期货交易所12月白银期货下跌0.3美分，收报每盎司21.837美元。
美国供应管理协会(ISM)公布10月份制造业采购经理人指数(PMI)优于预期，较前月上升0.2至56.4，不仅连续5个月上扬且创2011年4月以来最佳表现。PMI指数高于50象征景气扩张，反之则为萎缩，今年以来，仅5月PMI不及50。
圣路易斯联邦储备银行总裁布拉德（James Bullard）1日则指出，过去一年就业市场的改善程度可能已足够让FED减码QE。他表示，失业率、非农业就业人数这两大指标在过去一年内明显改善，这是QE应该减码最强而有力的证据。
在黄金期货价格走软的同时，美国的金币销售量则跳升。彭博社报导，美国铸币厂1日公布，今(2013)年截至11月1日为止，鹰扬金币的销售量累积已达755,500盎司，超越去年一整年的总和(753,000盎司)。实体金属交易在线服务商金银库副总裁在接受彭博专访时表示，金币需求仍然稳健，主因许多对经济前景感到担忧的民众希望保有实体黄金来避险。
