首次申领失业金人数大增
美国劳工部10月10日公布，经季节调整后，截至10月5日为止，首次申请失业救济金人数较前周大增66,000人至374,000人，创今年三月以来的新高。根据彭博社的调查，经济学家的预估中间值为增加至31.1万人，预估区间介于30.4-34万人之间。上周首次申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前周增加20,000人至325,000人。受到数据影响，金价马上飙升。
美国国会共和党提出债务延期6周
美国国会众议院共和党领袖提出延长债务期限6周、不附带任何政策条件的计划，为两党进一步谈判赢得时间，降低了美国债务违约的风险，推动全球风险资产乘机大幅反弹。共和党提供白宫一份临时的提高债务上限的议案，将债务上限延长6周，但政府依然关门。分析师表示，目前奥巴马总统并未将签署此议案，意味着该议案仍未最终决定。本来受首次失业救济金人数的增加，金价大涨，随后因两党关系有所缓和，黄金金价回调。
