纽约商品期货交易所12月黄金期货9月16日高见1336美元，收盘上涨9.2美元或0.7%成为每盎司1,317.8美元，美元指数下跌0.3%，12月白银期货上涨1.3%成为每盎司22.009美元。
现货金价则下跌，报1312.09美元，下跌14.17美元，跌幅1.1%。
纽约商业交易所10月铂金期货下跌0.2%成为每盎司1,441.2美元，12月钯金期货上涨1%成为每盎司706.05美元。
全球最大黄金上市交易基金（ETF）-SPDR黄金信托基金16日黄金持有量持平为911.12公吨。最大的白银ETF-安硕白银指数基金白银持有量减少65.96公吨成为10,494.74公吨。
纽约期金上升，美国前财长萨默斯退出角逐联储局主席一职，令市场憧憬联储局现行的政策得以延续，退市步伐亦不会太进取。
投资者主要观望本周稍后联储局开会是否宣布开始减少买债。目前市场普遍预期，联储局或将每月的购债规模缩减100亿美元，至750亿美元，而如果缩减的规模小于预期甚至推迟，金价可能会支撑而上涨。
