12月交割的纽约期金价格上涨或0.5%，收每盎司 1372.60美元，收复周一下跌的5.30美元。
然而，9月交割的纽约期银周一下跌0.4%，收每盎司 23.07美元，继周一下跌16美分后，扩大跌势。
黄金在10个交易日内第8次收高，白银则在过去9个交易日内有7次收高纪录。
印度喜迎传统节日，通常是印度人购买实体黄金的好时机。
但由于卢比交易价格在史上低点，市场担心可能冲击黄金需求，因为卢比贬值后，印度消费者就必须用更贵的价格购买黄金。
倘若印度卢比持续每周贬值1%或2%，如同现在的状况，那么印度的黄金需求就仍会受到压抑。
