国际现货黄金截止至2018年8月25日3:00报收1205.6美元/盎司，黄金上周五一路冲高突破了1200美元/盎司一线，至晚间23时最高价为1208.5美元/盎司，随后有小幅回落。现货白银报14.8美元/盎司，白银同样冲高回落。
鲍威尔央行年会鸽声嘹亮：8月24日22:00美联储主席鲍威尔在杰克逊霍尔央行年会上讨论经济和货币政策时表示，没有明显信号表明通胀加速超过2%，看起来没有很高的经济过热风险，讲话内容偏鸽派，导致纽市盘中美元大幅下挫，一度跌至95关口，刷新日内新低至95.01。
澳大利亚总理频换：上周五（8月24日）经过两天的被“逼宫”行动后，澳大利亚前总理特恩布尔，终究以失败告终，主要执政党自由党党首莫里森当选澳大利亚总理，24日晚，莫里森在在堪培拉宣誓就职，接替当天宣布辞职的特恩布尔，正式成为澳大利亚第30任总理。
