土耳其抨击美国不动摇：美国对土耳其实施制裁引发两国关系紧张，且导致金融市场出现动荡。但是，土耳其总统埃尔多安继续猛烈抨击美国，并且不支持土耳其央行进行加息。8月12日，土耳其总统埃尔多安发表了最新讲话，却并没有为解决这些问题提供多少希望。他的这种行为排除了迅速结束土耳其危机的可能性，事件引致土耳其里拉汇率直线下跌。
油市延续走强：周一（8月13日）亚市盘中，美油延续上周五走强势头，日内聚焦OPEC原油市场月报。上周美油在66.14一线受到支撑并因IEA的言论而发起反弹。国际能源署(IEA)在上周五月报中称，美国对伊朗重启制裁将在今年晚些时候对原油市场产生重大影响，供应面可能大幅收紧，市场认为这将给油价提供一定支撑。
