国际现货黄金截止至9月21日14:00报1297.4美元/盎司，最高价为1301.1美元/盎司，最低价为1295.7美元/盎司，受美联储利率偏鹰影响，金价受压下行。现货白银报17.01美元/盎司，白银同样震荡下行，但相对黄金幅度较小。
日本央行保持利率不变：日本央行周四维持货币政策不变，并保持对经济的乐观看法，暗示该央行相信无需额外刺激，经济稳步复苏将逐渐带动通胀加速升向2%的目标。不过令人意外的是，新晋审议委员片冈刚士投票反对维持利率目标不变，称当前的货币政策不足达成通胀目标。
默克尔将赢下德国大选：最新民调显示，默克尔领导的基民盟及其姊妹党基社盟形成的保守派联盟的得票率为36.5%，主要竞争对手社民党则紧随其后，得票率为22%。德国总理默克尔可能在9月24日大选后赢得第四个总理任期，但商界领袖已经警告她，德国下一届政府必须实施有利于经济增长的政策，以确保德国仍是欧元区最大的经济体。
