美联储二号人物意外辞职：美联储副主席费希尔已经递交辞呈，自10月13日当日或前后生效。费希尔在美联储已经任职三年。现年73岁的费希尔此前由美国前总统奥巴马在2014年任命为副主席，任期原定将在2018年6月份到期。费希尔在9月6日递交给特朗普的辞呈中引述“个人原因”辞职，美联储周三公布了这一消息。费希尔在辞呈中对特朗普表示，金融危机后所采取的措施已使美国经济系统变得更强，更有韧性。
美联储发布经济褐皮书：北京时间周四凌晨2点美联储发布褐皮书，美联储褐皮书称7月和8月所有联储所在地区经济活动“适度至温和”扩张。多数地区就业小幅到适度放缓，就业市场趋紧，薪资压力有限、薪资增长小幅至适度。多数地区消费者支出增加。这份褐皮书由芝加哥联储根据8月28日或之前收集的数据整理完成。
