现货黄金市场2017年8月25日4点整收于每盎司1286美元，较前一交易日相比，小幅上涨了0.6美元。现货白银较黄金弱势，相比前一交易日小幅收跌，报16.94美元。
欧元强势是把“双刃剑”：欧元兑美元年内涨幅已逾12%，兑英镑上涨逾8%。一国货币升值会令外国买家购买该国货物的价格上涨，该国出口商利润就会下降。由于欧元兑全球其他主要货币汇率上升，投资者却担心强势欧元可能会对欧洲企业利润造成影响，一些分析师预计，强势欧元可能会导致欧洲企业损失高达3%的利润。
日本7月通胀持续改善：日本7月全国核心CPI较上年同期上涨0.5%，为连续第七个月上升，表明日本经济正在缓慢但稳步朝着实现日本央行2%的通胀目标前进。但是，由于低迷的薪资增长使消费者不愿增加支出，消费者物价上涨仍主要受燃油成本上升驱动，这凸显出日本央行在实现其物价目标方面所面临的挑战。
