特雷莎任改组内阁加强实力：在遭遇上周提前大选的惨败后，特雷莎·梅的内阁进行了改组。她在部长团队中解雇了支持英国脱欧的琼斯，而帮助立法得到国会上议院通过的布里奇斯提出辞职。6月12日，特雷莎·梅办公室任命保守党前主席贝克为英国脱欧团队的新部长。贝克此前还管理着欧洲研究小组，而该小组的保守党议员决定维持政府让英国完全离开欧盟的立场。他们还拥有一名专门的员工，并通过WhatsApp组织协调他们的干预措施。
