耶伦看好未来经济前景：周五亚盘时段，美联储主席耶伦发表讲话表示，美国经济表现较好，劳动力市场总体强劲，薪资增速提振，通胀率已从低位提升，短期内经济不会出现重大阻碍，虽然通胀处于2%目标之下，但它非常接近目标。从耶伦的措辞来看，其对美国经济前景抱有良好信心，这一背景下，美联储升息进程或平稳有序，这对黄金构成利空，从而打压金价从高位回撤。
中国12月份贸易帐盈余收缩：周五亚盘中国公布数据显示，中国12月份贸易帐实际录得2754.18亿元人民币盈余，不及前值2981亿元人民币和预期值3445亿元人民币的盈余，因此未能提振市场信心，中国股市和澳股继续走软，其中上证综指下跌0.43%，澳大利亚ASX 200下跌0.86%。
