美元指数低迷 黄金进一步走高
现货黄金市场2016年10月20日4点整收于每盎司1269.2美元，较前一交易日相比，上涨了7.2美元，涨幅0.57%。现货白银较前一交易日上涨0.39%，报17.65美元。
美国新屋开工总数大跌：美国商务部周三公布数据显示，美国9月新屋开工总数录得2015年3月以来纪录低位，美国9月新屋开工月率下跌9.0%；前值为-5.8%，预期为2.5%；美国9月新屋开工总数年化为104.7万户，比8月的114.2万户有所降低。这显示出美国房地产市场欠佳，对美联储加息预期构成打压，从而利空美元，进一步提振黄金。
美元指数陷入低迷：周三，美元指数继续维持低迷态势，日内上涨约0.05%在97.68附近震荡盘整，欧元兑美元一度跌破1.0954大关，达到今年7月以来的最低水平，但美元兑日元也一度跌至一周新低103.14。美元指数态势低迷，为黄金提供了上涨动能，隔夜金价最高触及1272美元每盎司。
