美指持续上扬：10月14日，美元指数盘中震荡上扬，终盘站上98整数大关，收报98.09，大涨0.58%。美元的持续走高，对黄金构成了较大的压力，从而打压国际金价持续维持低位震荡。
人民币中间价新低打压风险偏好：周一，中国央行大幅下调人民币兑美元汇率中间价222个点，至6.7379元，刷得2010年9月14日以来新低。这打击了股票市场的乐观情绪，日经225指数涨幅被逐步抹平，这提振了黄金的避险需求，从而为国际金价提供支撑。
