现货黄金市场2016年10月12日4点整收于每盎司1253.3美元，较前一交易日相比，下跌了6.0美元，跌幅0.47%。现货白银较前一交易日下跌0.85%，报17.60美元。
美国9月LMCI负值扩大：美联储周二数据显示，美国9月就业市场状况指数意外录得-2.2，预期值为1.5，前值从-0.7下修为-1.3。这反映出劳动力市场发展或许并没有想象中好，这使得加息预期有所降温，从而打压美元短线下跌，现货黄金一度短线上涨。
美指飙升至七个月高位：过去数周的一系列美国经济数据总体稳健，投资者增加对美联储12月升息的押注，受此影响，隔夜纽约尾盘，美元指数上涨0.8%，至97.650，触及七个月高位。这显示出美元当前相当强劲，从而使得黄金虽然因LMCI短线上涨，但最后依然无法改变颓势，继续下跌。
