黄金净多仓连降三周：美国商品期货交易委员会7月29日公布的周度报告显示，截至7月26日当周，黄金投机净多头头寸减少7568手，至256930手。这是黄金多头头寸连续三周遭到减持，净多仓降至至少1个月以来最低水平。黄金净多仓的削弱，对黄金构成利空，从而限制了金价的涨幅。
年内加息概率减弱：周一纽约联储主席杜德利发表称，美联储在考虑加息问题时应该保持谨慎，因为美国经济仍面临风险。他的言论似乎在暗示，年底前加息的可能性正在减弱，这可能会削弱市场对加息的乐观预期，从而使美元承压，利好黄金。
