美国红皮书报告欠佳：红皮书研究机构周二公布的报告显示，7月30日当周美国连锁店销售年率增长0.3%，之前一周为增长0.6%。更多数据显示，美国红皮书商业零售销售月率下降0.6%，之前一周为下降0.5%。美国红皮书报告表现欠佳，反映美国商业销售有所衰退，这对美元构成利空，从而提振黄金。
中国财新服务业PMI不及前值：周三早盘公布数据显示，中国7月财新服务业PMI数据录得51.7，不及52.7的前值。这反映了中国服务业处于较为萧条的状态，这可能增加市场对中国经济发展前景的担忧，从而刺激市场对黄金的避险需求，进而为金价上涨提供支撑。
