美国4月CPI好于预期：周二公布的数据显示，美国4月季调后CPI月率为0.4%，好于预期的0.3%，前值为0.1%。美国CPI表现好于预期，标明当前美国通胀水平稳步增长，这为加息提供了依据，从而提振美元，数据公布后，美元指数短线走强，报94.59，从而引起黄金急促跳水至1269。
英国4月CPI月率不及预期：周二公布的数据显示，英国4月CPI月率为0.1%，低于预期的0.3%，前值为0.4%；英国4月零售物价指数月率为0.1%，低于预期的0.3%，前值为0.4%。其中，英国4月核心CPI月率为0%，低于预期的0.2%。英国CPI数据表现欠佳，打压英镑兑美元汇率短线下挫，从而为美元提供部分支撑，间接打压黄金走软，欧盘时段，国际金价最低下触1269。
