现货黄金市场2016年5月16日24点整收于每盎司1274.5美元，较前一交易日相比，上涨1.6美元，涨幅0.13%。现货白银较前一交易日上涨了0.18%，报17.15美元。
天量卖单再现 金价闪崩：周一黄金市场一度有大幅走高，日内触及1288美元的一周高点，但在美盘时段，纽约最活跃6月黄金期货合约在10分钟内成交量达13573手，大量卖单进场，使黄金市场空方力量大增，从而打压黄金，国际金价因此急促跳水近10美元。
英镑自三周低位反弹飙涨：财政大臣奥斯本周一称，脱欧将成为一张“英国变穷”的单程车票，国际货币基金组织和英国央行上周也发出类似的反脱欧评论。在奥斯本发表评论后，英镑跌至1.4332，为4月22日以来最低水平，但在民调结果公布后反弹至1.4415。英镑全日上涨0.3%。英镑兑美元汇率低位反弹，使美元承压，从而为黄金提供较强的支撑，提振金价。
