现货黄金市场2016年5月11日24点整收于每盎司1277.2美元，较前一交易日相比，上涨11.1美元，涨幅0.86%。现货白银较前一交易日上涨了1.69%，报17.38美元。
美元指数温和回落：因投资者利用当日无重大美国经济数据公布，以及全球股市下跌的机会锁定获利，周三美元兑一篮子货币下跌，，受此影响，美元指数温和回落，最低触及93.69，结束了此前连续6个交易日的上涨，美元的下滑，为黄金提供了坚实的支撑，从而限制了金价的下行空间。
欧洲股市有所下滑：因在连升两日后，部分企业季报疲弱，欧洲股市周三受累市回落，泛欧绩优股300指数和欧洲600指数均收低0.45%。英国富时100指数收高0.09%；法股CAC 40指数下滑0.5%；德国DAX指数跌0.7%。欧洲股市回落，使得市场避险情绪回归，这对黄金构成利好，从而推动金价回升，现货黄金价格逼近1280。
