欧洲央行“鸽声依旧”：周四公布的欧洲央行会议记录，进一步强调了新兴市场所面临的风险，并明确表示，欧洲央行做好了行动准备。在此种前景下，欧元兑美元应声大跌至1.1072，刷新两周低位，这提振了美元，从而使黄金部分承压，限制了过金价的涨幅。
对美国经济有信心：旧金山联储主席威廉姆斯在一次活动中，就经济前景发表讲话称，尽管全球市场动荡，但是对美国经济前景预期不变，预计通胀在未来两年将回升至2%。他谈到，没有迹象表明美国将陷入衰退，美国经济看起来相当强劲。如此靓丽的言论，为美元提供了坚实的支撑，从而使黄金高位承压，打压国际金价小幅回落。
