日本9月零售月率意外下滑：日本经贸工业省周三公布数据显示，日本9月零售销售年率下滑0.2%，经济学家预估中值为上升0.4%。日本零售销售数据意外下滑，表明日本消费支出没有为疲软的出口和工业产出提供动能，这或将增大日本央行扩大货币刺激的压力，届时将对日元构成利空，从而通过汇率提振美元，间接施压黄金。
观望情绪提振美元小涨：周三亚市盘初，美元指数位于96.90附近水平徘徊，欧元兑美元位于1.1050附近水平徘徊，美元兑日元报120.35附近水平徘徊。上一交易日美元兑一篮子货币小幅上涨，虽然美国经济数据表现疲软，但投资者保持观望，以期美联储货币政策声明能提振美元。由于市场静待美联储货币政策声明，美元指数波动幅度不大，这也造就了黄金市场较为平静的态势，若无其他较大消息出现，在美联储货币政策声明前，黄金或将延续目前窄幅震荡走势。
