初请下降，个人消费上修：美国劳工部公布的数据显示，美国8月22日当周季调后初请失业金人数下降0.6万，达到27.1万，预期27.4万，前值27.7万。同时公布的数据显示，美国第二季度个人消费支出物价指数年化季率上修为增长2.2%，符合市场预期。初请失业金人数系下降，反映出美国就业市场复苏强劲，个人消费物价指数上修，反映出美国经济发展向好，这利好于推动通胀水平上涨，为美联储加息提供依据，助涨美元，施压黄金。
日本核心通胀降至零：周五亚市早盘，日本最新公布的通胀数据表现不佳，关键通胀指标——全国核心消费者物价指数年内第3次降至零，数据显示，日本7月全国消费者物价指数年率上升0.2%，预期上升0.2%，前值为0.4%。日本通胀数据表现不佳，反映出当前日本政府对经济的刺激措施，还不足以推动通胀上涨，未来很可能会推出进一步宽松政策，从而对日元构成利空，进而通过美元兑日元汇率提振美元，施压黄金。
