美国2月新屋销售数据飙升：美国商务部周二公布的数据显示，美国2月新屋销售年化月率飙升7.8%，至53.9万户，预期46.5万户，创下2008年2月以来的记录，前值修正为50.0万户。美国2月新屋销售意外攀升，并创下七年以来的高位，市场对此解释为，由于天气影响以及美国家庭支出减弱，打压近期的新屋销售数据，但美国劳动就业的强劲增长仍有力地提振房地产经济活动，支持美指高位震荡，令现货黄金继续承压。
美国3月制造业PMI指数升高：美国周二公布的行业报告显示，美国3月制造业采购经理人指数初值为55.3，为2014年10月以来最高，当时的终值为55.9。随着美国制造业的加速扩张、雇佣速度加快，美国3月制造业活动逐步摆脱了年初放缓的态势，暗示了美国一季度的经济增长将会得到较大改善，并提振美元指数进一步获得上涨动能，使得国际金价的涨幅收窄。
