黄金需求下半年呈滑坡趋势
中国是世界上仅次于印度的第二大黄金消费国，然而今年4月份购买热潮过后，中国的黄金需求量预计下半年将逐步下滑。中国黄金协会秘书长张炳南在接受采访时表示，今年4至5月的疯狂抢购已经过去，不会再发生类似现象。人们为了节日或婚礼而准备的珠宝，在4至5月金价下调后就已经购齐了。
据劳动报报道，由于美联储采取措施控制金价增长，黄金市场在2012年结束了为期12年的牛市，今年的黄金价格下降了16%，一些投资者对储存黄金失去了信心。据统计，从去年9月到今年4月16日，金价下降了31个百分点，达到两年来的最低值每盎司1321.95美元。下半年金价是否会进一步下降，决定着投资者买入的可能性。
我国钻石人均拥有量仍较低目前我国已进入新的婚育高峰期，在全球经济低迷、世界钻石消费整体回落的背景之下，我国的钻石消费显示出刚性需求的特征。
2012年上海钻石交易总额增长达到了63%，超过了比利时的安特卫普、以色列的特拉维夫和印度的孟买等世界主要的钻石中心。全球矿业巨头戴比尔斯钻石分销部的数据也显示，2012年中国钻石消费量增长了20%。
另据国家统计局调查资料显示，从2011年开始，全国每年超过1000万对的新人结婚，婚庆市场钻石消费需求不断扩大。1-3月我国金银珠宝零售额累计增长了17.7%，其中仅3月当月就实现增长26.3%。
但中国宝玉石协会常务理事倪伟波表示，尽管中国已经迈入到了珠宝消费的大国行列，但是人均拥有量还比较低，目前还处于一个初级阶段。如从销售量来说，肯定是国内珠宝消费量比较大，但是假如换成销售额来说，国外品牌的比例可能会大一些，国外的珠宝销售额应该比国内珠宝销售额高5到6个百分点。
