房市数据向好 金银继续报跌
纽约商品交易所黄金期货市场9月黄金期价8月19日收于每盎司1296.2美元，比前一交易日下滑了2美元，跌幅为0.15%。白银期货下跌0.92%，报每盎司19.4美元。
房市表现继续亮眼：美国7月新屋开工飙涨15.7%，至109.3万，这是自去年11月以来的最高水平，主要受到新公寓开工增加推动。另外7月营建许可也大幅上涨8.1%，暗示新屋开工可能会进一步上涨。强劲的房市数据表明，作为美国实体经济的核心推动力之一，意味着未来几个月内，美国经济可能进入快速发展的进程。由于美国公布了亮眼的7月份房市数据，市场提高了美国经济的乐观信心，也缓和了美联储对于房市数据将拖累经济的担忧，从而导致美元走强，黄金价格则受到打压。
乌俄两国总统决定面谈：据克林姆林宫宣布，俄罗斯总统普京将在8月26日，在白俄罗斯首都明斯克，与乌克兰总统波罗申科会面。俄罗斯官员称普京除了会面乌克兰总统外，还将会晤乌克兰其他高级官员、欧盟委员会官员、以及欧亚关税同盟官员。乌克兰官员则证实了当天的会晤事宜，并且声称，“稳定乌克兰东部”将成为双方会谈的最关键议题。由于乌俄两国的战事活动暂告停止，现在双方都在通过会谈形式，旨在寻求一个合理的解决方案，在地缘危机担忧持续降温的情况下，黄金价格将继续承压下行。
