国家GDP带动黄金零售需求

世界黄金协会(WGC)9月24日在研究报告中称，一个国家的黄金消费水平与该国的经济增长有十分密切的联系。许多人都倾向于在经济衰退时期购买黄金，因为黄金的确拥有优异的避险属性。仅少数人支持经济增长会带动黄金需求，可事实上这部分占据了整体实物黄金需求的很大一部分。
根据WGC的研报显示，诚然在经济扩张的时期国家的黄金投资需求会出现消退，但也有一部分的投资者会在经济增长时增加黄金在其长期投资组合中的比例。另外，更重要的是黄金的零售需求(珠宝首饰)远远大于投资需求，国家经济的增长有助于提高民众收入，借而刺激黄金零售的需求。
WGC表示，过去5年间，黄金珠宝首饰需求平均占总需求比列的58%，而投资需求仅占35%。根据最新的分析报告，国家GDP每增加1%，黄金珠宝首饰消费平均就会增加5%。
