美国经济趋缓 金价上涨
伦敦金早上开盘价为1234.35美元/盎司，截止至北京时间2014年2月1日11:00，伦敦金报价1240.98美元/盎司，高价为1243.4美元，低价为1239.7美元，波幅为3.7美元。贵金属行情上扬，因迹象显示美国经济趋缓、提升避险资产吸引力。
Fed普罗索：应加快缩减债券；美国费城联储主席普罗索(Charles Plosser)周三表示，美联储应当加快缩减债券购买的力度，并在2014年中期前结束量化宽松政策。普罗索是典型的鹰派官员，他日内警告称，如果美联储在2014年上半年失业率降至6.5%以下这段时间内依然维持购债，恐怕会在政策沟通上引发诸多问题。美国当前的失业率为6.7%。普罗索对此解释道，美国就业市场状况正在快速改善，尽管通胀率仍然略低于1.0%，但已经趋于稳定，料将在未来走强。在这样的环境中继续购买债券的时间越长，在降低货币政策宽松程度上可能就更加滞后。在经济充斥着(货币)储备的情况下，失败的成本可能就会比通常水平高出很多，进而引发更高水平的通胀，甚至可能引发金融不稳定。
美银美林：实物需求缺乏 金价将大跌；美银美林(Bank of America Merrill Lynch)认为，由于投资者们战略性的抛售，而中国和印度的实物需求又有所缺乏，预计今年金价会跌至1000美元/盎司。“如果投资者们停止售出黄金，那么金价可能被稳定在1200美元/盎司，”美银美林的分析师们在近期的一份报告中说，“但这不是我们所预期的基本情况，更可能发生的是投资者们继续削减自己持有的黄金。我们的模型认为这可能把金价推低至1000美元/盎司。”此外，美银美林还认为中国和印度都缺乏实物黄金需求的支撑，“在传统的实物黄金市场，印度和中国买家的购买可能也不足以阻止金价再下跌。”
