伦敦金早上开盘价为1318.55美元/盎司，截止至中国时间2013年10月18日11:35，伦敦金报价1317.7美元/盎司，高价为1322美元，低价为1315.7美元，波幅为6.3美元。
首次申请失业救济金人数高于预期：
美国劳工部10月17日公布，经季节调整后，截至10月12日为止当周，首次申请失业救济金人数较前周修正值减少15,000人至358,000人。根据彭博社的调查，经济学家的预估中间值为33.5万人，预估区间介于30.1-38万人之间。上周首次申请失业救济金人数的4周移动平均值较前周修正值增加11,750人至336,500人。
中国大公下调美国评级：
美国政府已重开，中国信评机构大公国际资信评估有限公司17日将之前被列入负面观察名单的美国本币、外币主权信用等级从A下调至A-，展望维持负面。
印度降低黄金进口关税：
在印度现货黄金市场升水持续创下历史新高之际，印度政府终于有所行动。10月17日(周四)印度消费税和海关中央委员会(CBEC)签署，将黄金进口关税调降至418美元/10克，以及699美元/千克。
