彭博社报导，中国大陆市值最大的金矿商紫金矿业（2899.HK）8月14日公布，该公司今年上半年的净利年减54%至人民币11亿元，创2006年以来的同期新低，主要受到金价下跌的影响，每股盈余为人民币0.05元。该公司上半年营收则是年增24%至人民币260亿元。金价今年以来下跌20%，预计将写下自2000年以来的首个年度跌幅。
该公司上半年产银146,590.22公斤，较去年同期增长60.45%。其中：矿山产银76,336.85公斤，较去年同期增长13.12%；冶炼副产银70,253.37公斤，较去年同期增长194.23%。
该公司上半年产铜158,843.40吨，较去年同期增长87.44%。其中：矿山产铜61,694.88吨（其中阴极铜6,118.43吨），较去年同期增长35.33%；冶炼产铜97,148.52吨，较去年同期增长148.12%。
紫金矿业2013年上半年度提取资产减值损失为人民币3.32亿元，主要由于黄金、白银、铜等有色金属价格下跌导致存货减值，以及该公司对公允价值出现非暂时性下跌的可供出售权益工具投资计提减值损失所致。
