鮑威爾立場引起增長焦慮，美元走高黃金攀升
周四(7月15日)美元指數走高，收複前一日的大部分失地，因有關全球經濟增長放緩的擔憂導致避險資産需求升溫，受美聯儲對美國經濟的評估日益樂觀推動，投資者對美元前景更加樂觀；黃金期貨價格低開高走，錄得連續第三個交易日上漲，收于近一個月新高，投資者權衡鮑威爾在國會發表的證詞，但似乎未發現采取大動作的理由。美油跌超2%，創近一個月來的最低收盤價，人們預期將有更多原油進入市場，此前有消息稱OPEC産油國達成妥協，且美國燃料需求周度數據意外糟糕。

FOMC將在未來數周討論美國國債和抵押貸款支持證券（MBS）的購買事宜，相比減碼QE，美聯儲在加息問題上所面臨的考驗更大。重申如果通脹預期上升過多，美聯儲將做出反應。不認為會出現廣泛的通脹壓力。金融條件高度寬松。不時感覺像是一個“泡沫”市場。
美國芝加哥聯儲主席埃文斯表示：仍然需要評估需要實現的進展。至少會在幾次會議上討論減碼QE。我相信價格壓力是暫時的。如果年底失業率降至4.5%，美聯儲可能會調整政策。認為美國將在年底看到實質性的進一步進展。我的預期和美國將在2024年加息一致
聖路易斯聯儲主席布拉德：現在“是時候結束這些緊急措施”
現在形勢已經使美聯儲可以開始縮減購債規模，布拉德認為：“現在是結束這些緊急措施的時候了。目前經濟中出現的價格上漲是否只是非常暫時性的，這是聯邦公開市場委員會內部辯論的關鍵。這是委員會必須努力應對的問題，這是相當高的通脹，比我們習慣的水平更高。我確實認為控制通脹預期將是一個挑戰，基于TIPS市場，市場似乎給我們投了信任票。美聯儲需要在減碼問題上保持靈活性。如果通脹確實在2022年回落，那麽我們處于有利位置，但如果並非如此，那麽決策者需要具有進行調整的能力。”
