11月26日，英镑兑美元受到脱欧不确定性的影响而被抑制，同时英国财政大臣讲话措辞整体偏向精神，之后市场担忧英国疫情局势。但美联储11月会议较为温和，限制了英镑的下行空间。
英国财政大臣苏纳克指出，短期内英国脱欧贸易协定更可取。脱欧谈判团队正在努力工作，我充满希望和信心，仍然对与欧盟达成脱欧协议抱有希望。不过欧盟委员会主席冯德莱恩表示准备离开，无贸易协议达成，而法国也对渔业问题发出抱怨。而爱尔兰总理迈克尔马丁在最近的评论中似乎充满希望。
11月25日，由英国财政部资助，负责提供独立经济预测和公共财政分析的公共机构预算责任办公室(OBR)发布了一份《财政可持续性报告》，指出英国今年的国民生产总值（GDP）预计将缩减11.3%，这创下了英国300年来的最大经济跌幅。

日内为感恩节，多国市场休市，市场交投较为清淡，不过美国新冠病毒感染病例、住院和死亡人数不断上升，此外尽管周三公布的大量数据喜忧参半，但连续两周初请失业金人数增加令人担忧，打压美元。与此同时，美联储11月会议纪要显示，成员们积极讨论了债券购买计划，可能准备扩大规模。
近期影响英镑汇率的因素是新冠病毒感染病例已经见顶的明显迹像，以及欧盟与英国贸易谈判的进展，每日感染病例数从11月早些时候的3万多例回落到11月25日的18213例，表明12月2日有望放松封锁，但仍将实施严格的分级封锁。
