从细节出发，才更容易找到盈利
日本第二大汽车精品及维修保养公司社长键山秀三郎在创立皇帽之初，曾面临着诸多困扰，最令他头疼的是公司找不到人，等好不容易找到人了，员工的流动性又很大，而且因为员工素质不高，对待客户的态度很粗暴。开始，键山试图用语言或文字来改变现状，但结果却是差強人意。思来想去，键山另辟蹊径——通过创造一个干净的工作环境来改变员工的心性。

终于，在10年后的某一天，键山正在停车场洗车时，一个员工静静地加入了进来，两人一语不发，默默地清扫。再过几天，又多了一个员工，再几天，又一个……最令键山开心的是，自从员工自觉地加入后，公司的气氛开始转变，员工互动和协调的质量有了显著提升：每个人都变得细心、周到、热情起来，而且无论是公事还是私事，大家都能主动相互帮忙了。
由于在清扫工作上更注重小地方、小细节，而不是以往的粗线条，公司员工养成了注意细节，对规范的意识和自我的要求都有所提高，工作失误和瑕疵都下降了许多。皇帽自己也做过市场调查，“皇帽员工待人亲切细腻”最让客户印象深刻。也因为这个缘故，现在的皇帽员工对营收的平均贡献度已经比第一大汽车精品及维修保养公司超出了12％。
