美国CPI超预期，金价基本维持稳定

2月13日，美国公布了市场较为关注的1月季调CPI数据情况，数据显示超出市场预期，现货黄金出现小幅回落，但仍维持在日内高位，虽然亚洲的避险情绪会给市场带来冲击，但美联储似乎对通胀情况保持乐观。
具体数据显示，美国1月未季调CPI年率实际公布2.5%，预期2.4%，前值2.3%；美国1月未季调核心CPI年率实际公布2.3%，预期2.2%，前值2.3%。美国1月未季调CPI指数实际公布257.97，预期257.86，前值256.97。
美国基本消费价格上涨，因家庭在租金和服装上指出增加，这一现象支持美联储通胀率将逐步上升至2%的目标的观点。机票、医疗、娱乐和教育价格的上涨也提振了1月份的潜在通胀。汽油价格在12月份上涨3.1 % 后下跌1.6 %。食品价格上涨0.2 %，与12月的上涨持平。家庭食品消费上升0.1 %。
美联储官员们对通胀似乎依然乐观。纽约联储最新的消费者预期调查显示，公众对于未来一年及三年的通胀预期都为2.5%，而12月整体PCE通胀则较上年同期增长了1.6%。报告显示消费者对劳动力市场仍保持乐观态度，预期股市继续上涨。
美联储主席鲍威尔本周在参众两院发表的国会证词基调类似，均对美国经济前景抱乐观态度，称现在还无法判断突发公共卫生事件是否会对美国经济产生影响。
鲍威尔排除了提高通胀目标的可能性，并将负利率政策放在其替代选项的尾端。自美联储在2012年确认将2%作为通胀目标以来，通胀率一直低于该水平。尽管国会监督美联储如何实现国会赋予的稳定物价和充分就业的双重使命。
