期金合约激增及避险拉涨金价：市场预计昨日美盘金价快速低位拉升的原因有以下两点：一是，墨西哥央行称，将增加货币对冲规模以应对有关通胀的担忧，随后黄金期货出现逾17000手合约，总价值逾20亿美元；二是，西班牙加泰罗尼亚自治区主席普伊格蒙特，将不会参加周四的参议院会议，使得市场对西班牙内部局势的担忧加剧，助涨避险情绪。
分析师认为英银加息或是错误决定：路透对分析师调查的预估中值显示，英国两年的脱欧协商在2019年3月结束时，在达不成贸易协议的情况下脱欧的可能性目前为30%，但不会阻止英国央行下周会议启动10年来的首次加息，不过大多分析师认为此刻不是加息的恰当时机。
