FED主席或偏鹰抵消税改利空：周二美元兑一篮子货币持坚，因有报道称，一些共和党参议员支持斯坦福大学经济学家泰勒担任美联储主席职位，抵消了有关税改计划通过可能遇阻的消息的影响。美元指数收盘报93.883，从稍早触及的低位93.682反弹。市场认为，泰勒可能带领美联储走一条更加快速加息的道路，他青睐基于规则来确定利率。
英国脱欧谈判仍是市场焦点：周一在下议院发表讲话时，梅向议员们保证，英国脱欧的谈判将是信心十足，并表示在12月即将举行的欧盟峰会前取得新进展。英镑目前对于英国央行的货币政策相当敏感，11月加息的前景是支撑英镑的一个重要因素，但25个基点的加息不太可能在近期内再次发生。
