英镑兑美元上周五下滑，走势受英国央行一名高层决策官员霍尔丹的谈话打压。他表示，若美联储加息，不代表英国便会有所反应。
英国央行首席经济学家及货币政策委员会委员霍尔丹上周四表示，鉴于薪资增长势头减弱以及全球经济前景未明，英国短期内没有必要加息，他周五又向媒体表示，虽然其他国家的货币政策会造成影响，但不必然促使英国央行作出回应。
英镑兑美元跌0.1%至1.5218，在美国发布低于预期的零售销售和生产者价格数据后，英镑触及盘中高点1.5270美元。偏软的数据没有影响美联储12月升息的机率，市场逐渐认可的加息机率为70%。
不过英镑兑欧元上涨0.7%至0.7050英镑，距离周四所及的三个月高位0.7041不远。
近几日英镑兑美元有所下跌，之前英国央行淡化了短期内加息的预期，而美国非农就业数据则支持美联储12月加息的可能。
除了关于英国央行何时升息的不确定，英国将对是否留在欧盟内进行公投，也削弱英镑人气。
上周四对冲英镑汇率大幅波动的成本急升。
一项最新民调显示，超过50%的英国人希望脱离欧盟，47%的人则希望留在欧盟。
交易商认为将于本周发布的英国通胀和零售销售数据不太可能改变货币政策前景。
