纽约早盘对周五晚巴黎恐袭的担忧在上午的交易中减弱，因欧洲股市抹去早盘跌幅，且美股表现良好，恐袭忧虑将带动避险资产买需的预期并没有成为现实。
在早盘反弹后，欧元兑美元跌至六个半月低位附近，下挫近1%，报1.0678美元。
美元指数上涨0.45%，报99.460，升穿在11月6日意外强劲的美国非农就业报告公布后所触及的七个月高位。
交易商认为，欧洲央行总裁德拉吉的讲话暗示，欧洲央行将在下月进一步放宽货币政策，可能进一步下调现已为负的存款利率，和扩大资产购买计划规模。
最近的一次媒体调查访问了逾80位分析师，他们预计美联储在12月15-16日今年最后一次政策会议上调短期借贷利率的机率为70%，10月时的调查显示12月加息的机率为55%。
美元兑日元周一上涨，攀升0.5%，至123.23日元，受助于数据显示日本经济在7-9月萎缩幅度大于预期，为连续第二个季度萎缩。
11月迄今，美元兑日元上涨约2%。
