美国劳工部周五(7月31日)公布的数据显示，美国第二季度就业成本指数季率仅增长0.2%，创至少30年来最低水平，表明薪资增长依旧乏力，这可能给美联储(Fed)的加息决定带来压力。美国另一项表现疲软的数据显示，美国7月密歇根大学消费者信心指数终值93.1，预期94，前值93.3。对此数据，密歇根大学消费者信心调查总监Curtin表示，美联储需要保持谨慎，以防伤及住房市场，仍然认为美国消费者支出增幅为3%。在美联储加息之前，借贷的消费者非常之少，消费者收入增幅为1.8%，消费者仍然对薪资状况颇多微词。消费者认为薪资是一大顾虑，薪资疲软仍然是一大“痛点”。
