本周铂金价格触及了六年低点，而金价和铂金价格之间的价格差距也被持续拉大。
去年南非曾经出现了长达数月的铂金钯金矿工罢工，在罢工结束后，供应量重新回来后，基本面因素使得钯金和铂金价格表现低迷。
据庄信万丰(Johnson Matthey)数据显示，今年铂金的供应量预计增长20%。南非兰特兑美元跌至14年低点使得南非的矿产商在低迷价格下能有获益，进一步施压价格。
铂金价格目前距离1000美元/盎司已经非常接近了。如果跌破该水平，那么黄金或许也回受到影响。
目前金价/铂价达到了11%的溢价水平，是2012年以来的最高水平。
