OANDA停止美国客户贵金属交易

国际知名零售外汇经纪商OANDA宣布，从2014年8月22日起，OANDA US将不再通过fxTrade平台为美国零售客户提供贵金属交易。OANDA US于8月21日向其客户发布了这条消息，对于OANDA仅在该变化的一天前发布通知，有OANDA客户抱怨其通知太晚，仅留有一天的时间来处理交易账户，且还是在夏季假期时间。
OANDA方面称道，选择关闭贵金属交易服务，主要是出于监管方面的考虑。自2008年美国次贷危机爆发以来，零售外汇及贵金属交易市场也受到了监管部门调整相关监管政策的影响，包括限制外汇交易的杠杆、FIFO原则、不得提供贵金属交易杠杆等。
OANDA的竞争对手，美国嘉盛集团早在2011年7月份就宣布停止提供贵金属交易服务。美国国会于2011年7月颁布了多德弗兰克法案，法案中编号为742(2)的条款规定，规定2011年7月15日起禁止美国公民进行所有贵金属(包括黄金、白银)柜台交易(OTC)。嘉盛集团为了遵守该项法案，选择退出贵金属交易服务。
OANDA美国以外的各分公司正常提供贵金属交易服务，如OANDA加拿大分公司，OANDA英国公司，OANDA亚太和澳洲分公司等。
由于受到美国严格的金融监管限制，OANDA US美国客户只能通过fxTrade平台进行外汇交易，美国法律不允许经纪商提供差价合约交易服务。
OANDA高层称，他们也正在考虑规划新的发展方向，以后将会重点拓展海外业务，亚太地区是他们非常重视的一个市场之一，像竞争对手福汇集团和嘉盛集团早已在海外建立了各自的庞大的市场。
