澳大利亚2014年第一季度产金量降

据彭博社报道，澳大利亚矿业咨询机构Surbiton Associates研究出澳大利亚作为全球第二大黄金产国，其第一季度黄金产出因气候原因下降。
澳大利亚矿业咨询机构表示，第一季度澳大利亚黄金产量为68公吨，环比下降7%，同比下降8%，因低压带在2月中旬侵袭了澳大利亚西部的黄金产地，其中包括金商Regis资源公司所属Duketon矿区在内的多数矿址遭到近165毫米的强降雨，而Garden Well矿区雨水注入超过470万立方米。Regis资源公司在声明中称，全量开采的恢复可能要待到6月份。
国际金价自年初以来累积涨幅达到近8%。而在2013年，由于金价走势经历了28年来的最大跌幅，金商纷纷选择减产并出售高消耗资产。
Surbiton Associates总经理Sandra Close在声明中表示：“我认为西澳大利亚已经对风暴和恶劣的天气有所知悉，这些因素无疑将影响黄金产量。今年看起来会比往年更加潮湿，这迫使许多矿商削减产能并限制运量，许多矿商都开始清理库存，并借机逐步恢复产能。”
