秘鲁持续扩大黄金等矿业规模

秘鲁总统乌马拉(Ollanta Humala)称,许多公司正在开发可提升该国矿业产能的新项目,因此预计2014年秘鲁矿业的投资额将创下历史新高。乌马拉预计,2014年秘鲁矿业的投资总额将达到140亿美元。
秘鲁是全球最大的基本金属和贵金属生产国之一,2012年矿业投资总额达到了86亿美元。秘鲁矿业和能源部长梅里诺(Jorge Merino)最近表示,预计2013 年矿业投资将高于2012年。 目前秘鲁的开发中矿业项目总价值为550亿美元左右。秘鲁政府称,新项目预计将在2016年以前将该国的铜产量提高一倍以上。秘鲁是全球第三大铜生产国,同时也是金、银、锌等其他矿物的主要生产国。经济学家称,矿业产量的增长将对未来几年秘鲁的经济增长形成支持。今年秘鲁经济增长速度放缓,很大原因是金属价格下跌,令该国出口受损。
智利大型铜矿科亚瓦西(Collahuasi)因生产恢复,11月产量年增43%达到297,340公吨,是带动智利11月铜产量增长的主要因素;此外,全球最大铜矿埃斯康迪达(Escondida)的产量也有增长。智利是全球最大铜产国,铜产量约占全球三分之一,矿业生产占该国GDP的15%,并占政府财政收入的20%,以及出口的约60%比重。智利政府预估2013年铜产量将年增5%达到创新高的570万吨。
