印度持续黄金进口管制

印度财长P. Chidambaram周一(12月30日)在接受外媒采访时表示，“尽管我们有可能将经常帐赤字(CAD)缩减至500亿美元以内，但即便这样一些黄金进口方面的管制仍将持续。”
他还称，“当然我们可以解除一部分黄金进口的限制，但并不意味着没有限制，此外我认为国内应当自己发掘更多黄金来替代进口。”
与此同时，针对近期印度最高法院判决将所有已关闭的矿山拍卖这一案例，Chidambaram对此解释道，“印度矿业部门应当出售那些被关闭的矿山，以便让它们重新被开采，正所谓有矿山就有黄金。”
然而，一些专家，包括印度央行(RBI)行长拉詹(Raghuram Rajan)此前也曾表示，由于近期黄金走私不断增加，更偏向于放宽一部分黄金进口管制。
数据显示，2012-2013财年印度CAD触及882亿美元(GDP的4.8%)，部分是因为该国黄金进口不断递增。
