俄罗斯金矿商生产成本降低5%

英国在线财经服务供货商《Interactive Investor》报导，英国上市的俄罗斯第二大金矿商彼得罗巴甫洛夫斯克集团公司（Petropavlovsk Plc）（LSE: POG）表示，该公司已经达成今年将净负债降低至10亿美元以下的目标，2014年也将持续降低负债。该公司并预计2014年将生产黄金62-63万盎司，总现金生产成本预计为每盎司950美元，此较今年的成本约降低5%。此外，2015-2019年均产量预估为60万盎司，总现金成本将低于每盎司750美元，主要得益于矿石品位的改善。
该公司董事长Peter Hambro表示，在目前的环境下所有金矿公司都面临相当的挑战，该公司也采取行动迅速降低成本并尽量额外发掘现有矿场的低成本资源。该公司所采取的包括避险、削减成本以及优化损益表等措施已经取得成果，并且在新资源发现的帮助下，至2015年生产成本可望持续下降。金价今年以来大跌近三成，不仅将写下13年来的首个年度跌幅，也可能创下自1981年以来的最大年度跌幅。彭博社的数据显示，世界主要金矿商的黄金生产成本约在每盎司1,200美元，纽约黄金期货的最新报价来到1,218美元。在过去长达12年的黄金多头当中，大型金矿商陆续取消了避险账户以把握金价上涨所带来的利润；但如今金价下跌，金矿商也考虑重新建立起避险账户以规避金价过度波动的风险。
Salman Partners Inc.矿业分析师David West表示，金矿商会保留目前看来较难获利的项目，以等待价格回升之后再重新进行开采。穆迪投资者服务公司副总裁暨资深信用主管Darren Kirk表示，金矿商削减成本仍有其必要，主要因为很多金矿商的成本结构是以远高于目前水平的金价作为基础，随着景气循环的转变，矿商有必要因应金价的转变来作出调整。
