印度金条进口减51% 政府或取消部分限制

12月16日报导，印度珠宝首饰出口促进委员会（GJEPC）公布的11月珠宝首饰进口分项数据显示，11月印度金条进口额为216.2亿卢比（3.452亿美元），以卢比与美元的价格计算，11月金条进口额分别年减44%与51%，去年同期为386亿卢比（7.05亿美元）。本财年前8个月（4-11月），印度金条进口额年减51%成为1,977亿卢比（33.46亿美元），去年同期为4,183亿卢比（76.9亿美元）。
《MINING.com》12月16日报导，印度政府为抑制黄金消费避免经常帐赤字持续飙升，接连祭出了多项措施，其中黄金进口关税已经较2012年初的1%提高十倍至10%，消费税提高至9%，推出80/20黄金进口限制措施（进口黄金需有20%用于再出口），祭出交易税，并且禁止银行对黄金ETF（交易所交易基金）进行融资等。这些措施也造成了印度国内的黄金供应短缺，伤害全球最大金饰出口国的印度金饰出口产业，并使得印度国内金价较国际金价有高达每盎司130美元的溢价。不过，财政部官员周一（12月16日）透露，随着黄金进口的大幅减少以及经济情势的改善，政府可能会在年底以前放宽或取消部分的限制措施。
印度总理经济咨询委员会（PMEAC）主席C Rangarajan上周表示，根据目前的财政情况评估，印度或能够容许每年300亿美元的黄金进口。印度财长则是表示，政府无法容许黄金进口超过500亿美元。印度2012/13财年经常帐赤字达到创新高的882亿美元，因黄金进口达845公吨以及油价高企的影响。
